Budget 2021: Property update

Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced an extension of the stamp duty ‘holiday’ until June 30.

The tax break was due to expire on March 31.

The government had also confirmed plans to bring back 5% deposits to help first-time buyers get on the ladder. Mr Sunak confirmed the return of 95% mortgages on properties worth up to £600,000 in the Budget speech.
